![]() I'm using an Apogee Symphony and also an X desk. Gear I have that I may want to use includes a Mc77, (600ohm) Serpent Splice, Overstayer studio channel and HG2 saturator. In my case, I'm looking to track dry tracks and also record a compressed parallel track as above. ![]() I'm looking for a solution bullet proof in this manner. In this instance, nobody (that i know?) seems to discuss impedance matching or anything. If I just had a big analog desk and tracked drum room mics for example, I could send an aux off the desk into a compressor while tracking and then record a second compressed version of those room tracks for blending later on with the dry tracks. I must admit, I do get confused with impedance and how it relates to this purpose. Is the unit in post 4 too expensive? Thanks for you help. Did you read the thread? What are the impedances? That is what is important.
